Applications
You have various options for submitting tax data to the tax office electronically via the Internet. You can find most tax forms free of charge in Mein ELSTER. However, you can also use any other tax software that supports ELSTER.It is also possible to retrieve the electronic wage tax deduction features (ELStAM) and the tax account query both in Mein ELSTER and with some commercial software products.
Please note that a one-time registration in Mein ELSTER is required for the authenticated transmission of your tax data.
My ELSTER
The Online Tax Office enables you to submit tax data (e.g. your income tax return) completely paperless. All you need is an Internet browser and you save yourself the trouble of downloading, installing and updating extensive programs.

The pre-filled tax return is a free service offered by the tax authorities to make it easier for you to prepare your income tax returns. Further information

Digital powers of attorney
You can submit powers of attorney electronically to your tax office. The power of attorney also includes the retrieval of data stored by the tax authorities (certificate retrieval).
